Task Collation – this is where I assemble my tasks and all of their associated information. This works well and I’ve written before about some neat ways to optimise this. For me this usually starts with email and action-bearing emails are sent to Evernote as a central collection point. Task Collection – this is the place in my workflow where tasks tend to originate.

Let me explain.įor me there are 3 basic elements for an effective task management workflow: The problem for me is that if I rely on Evernote for task management then my task management workflow is not, as it should be, a closed loop. Indeed over the last few months Evernote has added some useful new functionality in the form of a reminders subsystem that goes a long way to bridging its native task management gap. Afterall Evernote is not a task management system, although it is flexible enough to be configured as such, and, by all accounts, does a fine job of implementing many of the popular methodologies such as GTD. Its task management capabilities are lacking however. It is a great general-purpose information repository and provides me with anytime, anywhere, any-device access to all of the important information that orbits my life these days.

You must also not use the same password you use on Evernote for your other applications.Īlthough you can try to come up with the most complicated passcode to secure your Evernote, the risk of forgetting this overly complicated passcode is high. This can be a tedious process, but it is safer than having a passcode you have used for a decade. Once you have set a strong passcode, you must ensure that you change it regularly. The more predictable your passcode is, the easier it is to breach. Moreover, using common tricks to generate a passcode such as writing it as “ ” presents many risks. More characters are hard to guess and crack. A strong passcode must not be short (it must have at least 10 characters). A strong passcode is generated by using a combination of upper-case letters, lower-case letters, digits, and symbols. You must use a strong password to secure your app: As someone who uses this app and whose personal information is important to them, you must follow these guidelines to ensure that you are safe.
